Owned by the Food Marketing Institute, the Safe Quality Food (SQF) Program is a food safety and quality certification program designed to meet the needs of buyers and manufacturers worldwide. The SQF Program Standards - SQF 1000 Code for primary processors and SQF 2000 Code for distributors, manufacturers and processors - are recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and benchmarked against the GFSI 2008 Guidance Document. Steritech is licensed by the SQF Institute and is currently seeking accreditation through the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
